Attention Chevy Camaro and Hulk Hogan fans. Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City Florida and  Bubba the Love Sponge from Tampa Florida have joined forces to raffle off a yellow 2010 Chevy Camaro LS. This Camaro has been customized with rims and some Hulk Hogan flair. Hulk Hogan has signed the dashboard as well.

This raffle will benefit Unity In The Community, which is a non profit organization based out of Plant City Florida.

We still don’t have an actual date yet, but keep checking back and we’ll let you know when. The maximum amount of entries is limited to 10. The cost is only $5.00 per entry, but feel free to donate more because all proceeds go to the Unity In The Community.

Tickets will also be available on-line at BTLS.com until 6pm EST on Saturday 3/13/10. Limit 10 tickets per person. Winner will be promptly notified of the drawing by phone. If failure to contact winner within 72 hours of the drawing occurs, another winner will be drawn. 8 different Toyota models were affected, adding up to 2.3 million vehicles. If you even that out to the 50 states, that would be 46,000 vehicles in every state. Three in every 100 cars driving around today are Toyota Camry’s.

This is no ordinary recall. It is a huge safety issue involving the possibility that the gas pedal could get stuck forcing the car to accelerate out of control. Some Orlando residents referred to it as “sudden unanticipated acceleration“.

WFTV offers these tips if this happens to you:

Here’s what to do if your car suddenly accelerates: Apply the brakes firmly and put the car into neutral without taking your foot off the brake. You will hear your engine rev, but you will be able to bring the car to a stop and turn it off. Be sure to come to a complete stop before killing the engine to avoid your steering wheel locking.

If you think about it, that could be a little scary. The effected models are the Toyota Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Matrix, Rav 4, Sequoia and Tundra.

If you own a Toyota and aren’t sure if your model is affected, call the Toyota hotline at 1-800-331-4331.
