Kudos To Michael Holley – Not Giving Up Without A Fight

You have to give Michael Holley credit. He could of went into hiding and stuck his head in the sand. The Lakeland Ledger reported yesterday that his dealership is closed. Apparently it had nothing to do with his court case. It was an overdue electric bill. According to the Lakeland Ledger he owes Lakeland Electric $16,867.00. Geesh I thought my electric bill was high when a typical summer monthly bill is $400.00.

Anyway, after reading today’s Ledger I can’t help but to respect the man. He is vowing to re-open the dealership as soon as possible by borrowing money from friends. He is sticking around to “prove that he isn’t a thief”.

Obviously he made some poor choices in the last few months but people need to understand that the dealership is now being run by GMAC, and it has been for 3 months now. Nobody has to worry about getting screwed.

Lastly, we must all remember that he has been charged, not convicted. Can you imagine the overhead in a dealership like that? It’s a beautiful building. The monthly landscaping fees are probably more than my mortgage. I’m sure he didn’t do what he did intentionally, perhaps it was temporary insanity.

The one thing I’m wondering is why his website is down. Is there more to this story?
